2023 Most Outstanding Prince William County Wrestler 215 Tyler Stewart of Forest Park, a senior was a Region Champion and a 6A State Champion in 2023. Stewart took a 3rd place in Region in 5th at 6A States in 2021. He finished his senior year with a 36-2 record and a combine 60-8 record over the past two wrestling season. 2023 Prince William All-County Wrestling Team 106 Logan Katz - Battlefield, a Freshmen, he took a 1st place at District, 1st at Region, and 2nd place at the 6A States. Katz ended his Freshmen season with a 40-3 season record. 113 Evan Sanati - Brentsville, a Freshmen, he took 1st at Region, and then a 3rd place at the 3A State Championships. Sanati compiled a 41-5 season record. 113 Ryan Saunders - Battlefield, a Sophomore, he took a 1st place at District, 1st at Region, and went 2-2 at the 6A States. Saunders ended the season with a 37-13 record. 120 Ian Cool - Woodbridge, a Senior, and took 1st place in District, 1st at Region, and then a 5th place at the 6A State Championships. Cool went 32-9 for the season. 126 Anthony Orlando - Forest Park, a Senior took a 1st place at District, 1st place at Region, and finished the year earning a 2nd place at the 6A States. Orlando went 49-5 for his senior the year. 126 Matthew Arndt - Battlefield, a Freshmen, won the District Championships, finished 2nd at Region, and then took a 5th place at the 6A State Championships. Arndt showed much strength all season while posted a 47-9 season record. 132 Carter Harris - Battlefield, a Junior, he took a 1st place at District, 1st at Region, and went 2-2 at the 6A State Championships. Harris ended the season with a 47-12 season record. 138 Jackson Stroud - Brentsville, a Senior, he took 1st at Region, and then a 3rd place at the 3A States. Stroud went 35-5 for the year. 138 Christopher Hamm - Woodbridge, another Freshmen. He took a 1st at District, 1st at Region, and then went 2-2 at the 6A State Championships. Hamm finished with a 30-15 season record. 144 Billy Tyler - Brentsville, a Freshmen, took 1st at Region, and a 3rd place at the 3A State Championships. Tyler went 29-6 for the Tigers. 144 Monte Sanchez - C.D. Hylton, a Junior, he took 1st place at District, 3rd place at Region, and earned a 4th place at 6A State Tournament. Sanchez ended the season with at 29-6 record. 150 Carlton Hogan - C.D. Hylton, a Senior, won Districts, took a 2nd at Region, and then placed 3rd place at the 6A State Championships. Hogan had a 29-6 season record for the Bulldogs. 157 Cooper Lockhart - Battlefield, a Senior earned 1st place at District, followed those same results by winning Region, and a 6A State runner up. Lockhart had a compelling team season high record of 48-3. 165 Pablo Melendez - Osbourn, a Senior, he took a 1st place at District, a 2nd place at Region, and a 3rd place at the State Championships. Melendez had a season high record of 50-7. 165 Julian Schott - Woodbridge, a Senior, took 1st at District and Region and went 1-2 at the State Championships. Schott led the Vikings to a 32-7 season record. 175 Abram Bashaw - Potomac, a Senior, and took 1st in District, 1st place at Region, and 3rd place at the 6A States. Bashaw finished the season by going 54-8. 190 AJon DeMarco - Gainesville, a Junior, he took 1st place at District, 1st place at Region, and earned a 6th place at 6A States. DeMarco ended the season at 20-68 record. 215 Jose Alvarez-Portillo - Manassas Park, a Senior he took 1st Region and 1st place at the 3A States. Alvarez-Portillo was undefeated with a 27-0 record. 285 Quswarrah Kayed - Potomac, a Senior he took 1st at District, 1st at Region and 5th place at the 6A State Championships.
