NOVA Wrestling District Championships With the first week of the postseason now completed and teams claiming their District Championships, we are less than two weeks away from the VHSL States. While the first level of competition in postseason play is the district, wrestlers must also place in the top four at the Region Championships to advance to States. Our NOVA region comprises many districts, resulting in numerous District Champions. Yes, some wrestlers were eliminated during district play, but those who stood on the podium at day's end are likely gearing up for VHSL Region play. To qualify for the VHSL State Championship, all wrestlers must place in both Districts and Regions. As noted last week, the NOVA Wrestling Rankings will not be updated until the end of the 2024-25 wrestling season. We have highlight the top-ranked teams that competed for District Championships this past week and its great to see most of them have risen to the top in each district.
