The January 13th NOVA wrestling ranking is a direct reflection of the 2025 Virginia Duals and the NOVA wrestling teams that competed in this nationally ranked event. Despite most high schools across the region and state experiencing closures throughout the week, the 44th Edition of the Virginia Duals continued as planned, showcasing the best wrestling in Virginia. Although the number of wrestling teams was reduced due to school cancellations and systems not allowing teams to compete, the eight NOVA wrestling teams that did participate in the Duals performed admirably. Also note no new teams have been added to the NOVA rankings due to the cancellation of most NOVA events. The 44th Edition Virginia Duals results Below are some of the NOVA teams results at the Virginia Duals: Woodgrove went 1-1 on Friday and did not wrestle on Saturday as the team traveled back home. Losing to Nazareth PA on Friday, Nazareth went on to win the American Towne Bank division. Woodgrove results are below. Woodgrove 39-25 Kellam Nazareth 58-16 Woodgrove Skyline went 3-1 and moved up one slot to 3rd in the NOVA rankings. The Hawks took 5th place in the American Towne Bank division and are a solid team and prove to be a top team in the NOVA rankings. Skyline results are below. Independence went 3-1 and made a leap in the rankings to #4 with a head-to-head dual win over Westfield on Friday. Independence results are below. Delaware Military Academy 51-26 Independence Independence 38-36 Liberty Independence 40-32 Westfield Independence 55-15 McGuffey Westfield went 4-2, and while they showed strength wrestling the most matches at Virginia Duals of all NOVA teams, their head-to-head loss to Independence had them dropping a few spots in the rankings. Loudoun County went 3-1 and had an exciting head-to-head match with Battlefield as they moved up one spot from to 8th in the rankings. Loudoun County results are below.
