NOVA WRESTLING RANKINGS: Top 15 Wrestling teams in Northern Virginia (Jan. 6th)

The Corner of the Mat is now in its third year of the NOVA rankings as high school wrestling continues to improve across the region and state. As the ranking field will stay the same (15 teams) we are aware of the many teams that can improve and hope all will.

While some HS. teams have traveled out of the region and state for individual competition and teams may have had wrestlers out or teams have split rosters into two teams’ events has made for more opportunity for more wrestlers to compete and gain experience at weekend events. It’s clear that the increased participation is happening.

Tracking high school wrestling teams through the month of December and early January, the following is the first Corner of the Mat Top 15 teams Wrestling ranking for Jan 6, 2025.
