The Beast of the East continues to prove that it’s the toughest wrestling tournament on the east coast. As the top of the leader board is fills with PA, NJ, and OH state high school teams, the 30th annual Beast of the East at University of Delaware and without a doubt contiune to shows great wrestling. As Saturday morning started day two, the Championship Quarters had seven Virginia wrestlers advancing onto the Semi-Finals. Brentsville 113 pounds Evan Sanati won Quarter match (Dec 5-0) over Mason Rohr (Perry (Massillon)). Brooke Point 113 pounds Cadell Lee won Quarter match by forfeit; and 132 pounds Chase Van Hoven won Quarter match by (Dec 4-3) over Jack Zaleski (Middletown South). New Kent 144 pounds Patrick Jordon won Quarter match (Fall 1:18) over Jonathan Fuller (St Peter Prepatory). Sherando 150 pounds Keagan Judd won Quarter match (Fall 3:47) over Benjamin Garcia (Don Bosco Prep). Fauquier 190 pounds Kingsley Menifee won Quarter match (Dec 5-4) over Gerard Johnson (St Mary Ryken). Eastern View 285 pounds Brayden Walker won Quarter final match (Fall 1:49) over Aiden Compton (Notre Dame). As the eleven AM Semi Finals start time rolled through Brooke Point-Cadell Lee and New Kent Patrick Jordon both won and advanced onto the Championships finals. Brooke Point 113 pounds Cadell Lee won Semifinals match wins a tie breaker (UTB 2-1) over Carson Dupill (Greeneville). New Kent 144 pounds Patrick Jordon won Semifinals match (Dec 7-1) over Max Stein (Faith Christian Academy). While Virginia had two Beast of the East finalists senior Patrick Jordon from New Kent earned a (Dec 5-2) over Matt Repos (Central Dauphin HS) to win the 2022 Beast of the East.
