Directions: You will be using the classroom Microsoft Office book and the Excel program to complete this assignment. You will need to read and review this chapter and follow the step by steps to build the application. Below you will see the given chapter and page numbers for this assignment. Set the Stage: Excel Lesson 8 - Working with Charts - You must first read through pages 173 - 195 and complete the following steps on each page. Please read through these pages and following the instructions on each page. To complete the steps by steps out of the book you will need to download a file. After you have open each of the documents book gives instructions to save each document as a new file name. Please click on the following links below to obtain the Excel documents.

Very Important when Saving your Excel file as pdf:

Please note once you start saving and converting the Excel files to a pdf format, please click away from the chart and the charts are not selected. If so, it will only convert the chart to a pdf file and not the Excel spreadsheet. So do not have the chart selected once you save as pdf.

Additional requirements - Changes to be made:

1. Page 185 - Step-By-Step 8.3 on #6 OMIT this.

2. Page 185 - Step-By-Step 8.3 on #8 style 26 will not be present. Please use style 14.

3. Page 185 - Step-By-Step 8.3 on #9 to #11 make sure the chart is selected and then click on the plus + sign at the top right of the chart. Then you will be selecting the Legend and then click on the arrow and change it from Bottom to Top. See image below:

4. Page 185 - Step-By-Step 8.4 on #6 if you can not find Layout 1 then select Style #3 which should show the percentages

5. Page 188 - Step-By-Step 8.5 on #6 You will need to goto the Chart design Tab; then the Chart Layout Group; Select the Add Chart Element to continue with this step.

6. Page 195 - Step-By-Step 8.9 on #12 You will not find the Sparking Style Dark #3 so look for Dark Blue Sparking Style Dark #4.

How to Turn in this Assignment - Additional requirements:

Once you get to page 195 submit the all of the files. The assignment that you will be submitting in the drop box at the end of this assignment will be the Education Pays, Great Plains, Coronado Foundries, and Red Cross files that from your Module 6 folder.
